| Connley Caves Field School with Katelyn McDonough Wednesday, February 19 Katelyn McDonough, Assistant Professor of Anthropology and Curator of Great Basin Archaeology, will recap the Connley Caves Field School and the student-led research projects that continue at the museum. Spanning multiple decades of research and field work, Katelyn will also share details about the legacy of Dennis Jenkins and critical discoveries from this site. Museum members can register here. |
| Students in the Paleo Collections with Samantha Hopkins Meet with Samantha Hopkins, Department Head and Professor of Earth Sciences, and learn how paleontology field schools build student skills and fossil collections at MNCH. Sam will discuss her specialized interest in prehistoric rodents, share fossil specimens, and engage with us about the vast opportunities that exist for UO students to uncover.
