From fossils to archaeological collections to the cultural heritage of the Pacific Northwest, the Museum of Natural and Cultural History connects people with Oregon’s past and the questions that shape its future. Your support protects and shares these collections, brings hands-on learning to students and families, and fuels research that expands what we know.

Philanthropy brings UO students and young learners into hands-on work with collections, exhibits, and research. 

Your gift provides UO students with educational and professional opportunities beyond the classroom. The Patty Krier Education Endowment Fundbrings science and cultural education to communities across the state, as well as youth and families at the museum. Volunteer Positions

  • Exhibit Hall Interpreters provide the personalized experiences and perspectives that make museum trips memorable and meaningful for our visitors.
  • Educational Program Instructor inspire curiosity and critical thinking about Oregon's past and present and lead hands-on activities for K-12 classes and community members.
  • Visitor Experience Volunteers staff special events, share information about membership, and greet visitors.
  • Youth volunteers
