Hit the road with the MNCH this summer!

We’re dishing up two food-focused field trips this summer. Our gourmet excursions spotlight local food producers and feature locally-grown lunches, plus private tours of the exhibit Hungry Planet: What the World Eats. Space is limited; register early to secure your spot! Gourmet excursions are $25 per person; $20 for MNCH members. Transportation from the museum is provided.

Wednesday, July 12
9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Travel to Camas Country Mill in Junction City to visit with a local farmer, explore the site’s 19th-century schoolhouse and bakery, and enjoy a seasonal lunch showcasing Camas Country Mill grains.

Join us for a summer science adventure! Space is limited and preregistration is required. Science excursions are $45 per person; $40 for MNCH members. Transportation from the museum is provided. Wear comfortable shoes and outdoor clothing, and bring a lunch.

Cascadia Caves

Thursday, July 27
CASCADES GEOLOGY from Eugene to Sisters—FULL
8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Join MNCH paleontologist Edward Davis and explore the natural history and geology of the stunning Cascade Range.

Tuesday, August 22
8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Take a hike to Cascadia Cave with US Forest Service archaeologist Tony Farque. You’ll learn about the Kalapuya people who have lived in the area since time immemorial and see the rock art still visible in the cave.
