Participatory Learning Experience (PLE)
Participatory Learning Experiences (PLE) are a great way for UO undergraduates to get upper division credit for hands-on work experience.
Public Programs PLE
Requirements
Students earn 1 credit/term by fulfilling 35 work hours in the museum's Public Programs division. A two-term commitment is required. The first term of service is a training term and students are required to participate in training sessions.
Grading
Grading will be based on three areas: attendance (50%); participation/engagement (30%); and professionalism (20%).
Students work in the exhibit hall, during special events, and for guided school programs.
Public Programs PLE students for Winter Term, 2012 will be accepted on an interview basis. Please submit an application to be considered.
