Participatory Learning Experience (PLE)

UO undergraduates can earn upper-division credit and gain valuable work experience through the museum's Participatory Learning Experience (PLE) program.

Public Programs PLE

Students earn one (1) credit per term by fulfilling 35 work hours in the museum's Public Programs division. A two-term commitment is required. During the first term of service, students are required to participate in training sessions.

Grading will be based on three areas: attendance (50%); participation/engagement (30%); and professionalism (20%).

Students can work in the exhibit hall and help with special events and education programs.

Public Programs PLE students are accepted on an interview basis. Please submit an application to be considered.
