Archaeology Field School
The University of Oregon summer archaeological field school has maintained an active program of research and training in archaeology since 1937, primarily in the Northern Great Basin
This UO course trains students in excavation techniques and methods within the context of professional ethics. Intensive field training is integrated with lectures on the archaeology, environment, and ethnography of the Northern Great Basin region to impart a thorough understanding of how excavation is conducted and the historic information it reveals.
