Over 200 pairs of shoes made up this hands-on, feet-in multimedia experience that explored many aspects of footwear and its history.
Shoes are more than just protection for our feet; they flaunt an infinite array of styles, sizes, and materials. This exhibit looked at traditional footwear from around the world, styles from decades past, and the shoes of famous people. From 10,000-year-old sagebrush bark sandals to stilettos to a rock star’s boots—shoes always make a statement.
See some of the shoes from the Museum's collections which were featured in this exhibit in the Fancy Footwear web gallery.
