Eric McCready

As an Oregonian, the museum’s focus on the West – and especially Oregon – has intrigued Eric for years. With degrees from the University of Oregon (Sciences, History, and Art History) and a Ph.D. from the University of Delaware (History of Art and Architecture), Eric regards the museum as a unique place where he can integrate and apply his multifaceted interests.  The museum’s permanent collections and ever-changing temporary exhibitions keep him interested, and with national accreditation and long-term strategic planning on the museum’s agenda, Eric is excited to watch the museum grow in stature. A retired museum professional,  Eric now serves as MAC co-chair.  “It’s great to be back in an advisory role,” Eric said, “knowing what the museum is on its way to becoming.”
