Daphne Gallagher

Daphne Gallagher is an archaeologist with a primary research focus in West Africa, where she directs field projects and partners with local museums. After receiving her B.A. from Rice University and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Michigan, she joined the UO Department of Anthropology as a faculty member in 2010. Daphne collaborates closely with the MNCH on graduate and undergraduate teaching and currently serves as Anthropology liaison to the MNCH. She looks forward to working with the MAC to expand teaching, research, and outreach between the MNCH and the campus community.
