Progress continues with our digitization of anthropological collections. Since the beginning of 2009, we have added hundreds of images of cultural objects. Representative photos are uploaded into our electronic collections database, allowing us to view objects without removing them from storage. This is an important tool for research and collections management – less handling, less risk of damage, and information sharing without geographical boundaries. The inclusion of scale and color bar captures a standardized and accurate record of an object’s size and appearance.
