Carole Daly

Carole graduated from California State University at Long Beach with a BA in English Literature in 1969. She also received a Certificate as a Corporate Paralegal from UCLA in 1972 and in 1978 completed a MBA Degree from Pepperdine University. Carole and her family moved to Eugene from southern California in 1979. She soon began working as the Executive Director of the Cooperative Museum Commission (CMC)–an intergovernmental agency consisting of Lane County, the City of Eugene, Lane Community College, Lane ESD, and the University of Oregon. While in this role, she also served as director of WISTEC (Willamette Science and Industry Technology Center – now the Science Factory) and then as the director of the Lane County History Museum, where she served for three years. In 1986, she left the CMC for a position as the Assistant Dean for External Affairs at the UO Lundquist College of Business. Twelve years later, she moved on to several other positions within the University, including Assistant Vice President for Regional, Annual and Special Gifts–where she oversaw the fundraising efforts of the Museum of Natural and Cultural History. Carole retired in 2014 after 27 years of service at the University of Oregon.
