VOLUNTEER TRAINING
Volunteers
have the opportunity to learn from and interact with some of the most
progressive scholars in the fields of geology, paleontology, anthropology,
and more! There is $30 fee for training materials, which includes
a one year membership to the museum.
New volunteers are asked
to commit to at least one year of service at approximately twelve
hours per month.
Museum Interpreter
Certification
New volunteers
begin service at the museum with training sessions. The next
training series meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, October 2-23, 4:00 -
5:30 PM. The sessions combine discussions, presentations,
and hands-on activities.
Completion
of the training course certifies volunteers to work in the public
space as Exhibit Hall Interpreters, Store Associates, and School Programs/Tour
Guides.
If you would like to begin
volunteer work before October, please contact Ann Craig at 346-3116
or acraig@uoregon.edu.
The University
