The public programs division of the Museum of Natural and Cultural History provides learning experiences for visitors of all ages and strives to promote curiosity in natural and cultural history and sciences. Through interpretative exhibits, family events, field trips, classes, lectures, and more, the museum's research and collections come to life.

Virtual Geology Tour
The wide variety
of community workshops, field trips, and family events organized by
the museum have included Native American cedar-working demonstrations
taught by tribal elders and nature discovery rafting trips. Events
such as the winter solstice celebration have become highly anticipated
events in the Eugene area.

hundred community volunteers as well as staff members, university
interns, and fellows form the core of public programs. They share
a common goal to provide compelling programs for out-of-town visitors,
