Mission Statement: The University of Oregon Anthropological Papers are published by the Department of Anthropology and Museum of Natural and Cultural History (the latter including, as its research division, the Oregon State Museum of Anthropology). The series emphasizes monographic presentation of data-rich original research, primarily that of University of Oregon faculty and students, on the anthropological archaeology of western North America. Occasionally, studies in other areas of interest to University of Oregon researchers are published.
